Local Residents Gather for Early St. Patrick's Day Celebration

The village hall played host to 41 local residents who came together to celebrate St. Patrick's Day ahead of the official holiday. The festive evening featured an Irish-themed quiz that kept attendees engaged while they socialized with friends and neighbours over glasses of Guinness

Benson-based catering company Too Perfection provided the main course, serving a savoury beef and Guinness stew. The Residents' Association committee contributed Bailey's-flavoured brownies for dessert. Traditional Irish Céilidh music played in the background throughout the event.

For those seeking variety in their beverages, the Residents' Association committee offered "baby Guinness" cocktails, which proved popular among some attendees.

This definitely went down well with some of the audience.

As the evening drew to a close, Residents' Association Chairman Dave Smith revealed the quiz answers. The team led by John Ladd emerged victorious, with their "many years of accumulated wisdom" giving them the competitive edge.
